1)
Full Height
The most popular UK installation style, uses
full-height panels to cover the entire depth of the window.
Horizontal mid-rails can be fitted to each panel to multiple
louvre banks giving the ability to tilt the upper & lower
louvres independently. This works well in rooms where
privacy & natural light may be required simultaneously
(bedrooms & bathrooms for example).
2) Tier-on-Tier
Comprises of an independent upper & lower
tier of panels allowing either tier to be opened up (hinged
back) whilst the other tier remain across the window.
These are often seen in ground floor windows
where the top shutter is open but the lower one closed with
louvers tilted for privacy. At night, the top shutters can
be closed and louvers closed for complete privacy.
3) Café
These shutters are designed to cover the
lower portion of the window only. They offer privacy whilst
at the same time optimising light at the upper portion of
the window.
4) Tracked Shutters
These are full height shutters mounted on a
sliding track for use in wider doorways and as room
dividers. The colour co-ordinated top-track provides
constant and even support to the shutters, thus preventing
dip. Every second panel is suspended from the top-track by
an adjustable, wheeled truck to give smooth and easy
operation. A bottom track can also be fitted to help achieve
perfect panel alignment. . This is a standard option offered
by most shutter companies.
5) Solid panels
Used on their own (as used in Georgian
houses) or combined with louvres (as illustrated), solid
panels are very attractive and can be used in effective ways
to enhance the overall design of a room.
