   SHUTTER INSTALLATIONS & STYLES EXPLAINED

Basically, there are 3 types of shutter installations styles from which to choose, 'full height', 'café' & 'tier-on-tier'. Each style is designed to satisfy specific requirements & Shutter Logic is happy to recommend the most appropriate style for your project.

Whatever your chosen style, most Shutter Logic shutters are mounted within a 3 or 4 sided frame, discretely fitted with magnets to keep the panels closed when the window are open on a breezy summer day.

Full Height

The most popular UK installation style & uses 'full height' panels to cover the entire depth of the window. Horizontal mid-rails can be fitted to each panel to multiple louvres banks giving the ability to tilt the upper & lower louvre independently.  This works well in rooms where privacy & natural light may be required simultaneously (bedrooms & bathrooms for example).

Tier-onTier

Comprises of an independent upper & lower tier of panels allowing either tier to be opened up (hinged back) whilst the other tier remain across the window.

Cafe Style

The shutters are designed to cover the lower portion of the window only. They offer privacy whilst at the same time optimising light at the upper portion of the window. The top of the shutters are aligned, where possible, with existing window or sash bars to ensure they look good from outside as well as great from within.

Tracked Shutters

These are only available in 'full height' style & are generally used for wider door -ways & room dividers, as the colour co-ordinated top-track provides constant & even support to the panels thus preventing dip. Every second panel is suspended from the top-track by an adjustable, wheeled truck to give smooth & easy operation. A bottom track can also be fitted to help achieve perfect panel alignment.
